Happy Mother's Day, Real Moms!

Many thanks to all the moms who shared their real mom stories. I'm pleased to announce that Romi and Rebecca have chosen....

Kelly from A Child is Born as the winner of the 4G iPod and chocolate gift set as well as a link on True Mom Confessions with her essay "Real Moms Have Scars."

We'll be highlighting your past and present Real Mom Truths weekly in full form (as opposed to links). Please submit your stories/photos to Kristen at coolmompicks@gmail.com.

A Real Contest for Real Moms

Welcome to our newly updated site. In honor of Mother's Day, we're running the first ever (and therefore best ever) Real Mom Truths Mother's Day Contest.

Here's how it works:

1) Write a Real Moms post sometime before Friday May 11. It should be titled "Real Moms [insert whatever your post topic is]" and include the following (If you've never done this before, click here for a sample):

a) One picture that you have taken

b) One essay about your chosen "Real Mom Truth"

c) Finish it with this blurb or something similar (although it must include all three links): "Enter the Real Mom Truths contest! The winner will receive this amazing 4G iPod Nano and Chocolate gift set, plus a link to their post on True Mom Confessions on Mother's Day" (Make sure to link to this post, this prize: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat119400050003&type=category, and http://www.truemomconfessions.com)

2) Leave the link to your post along with its TITLE so I can easily post it here on the website in the comments of this post.

3) You must have all the components listed in this format to be entered. (It's really simple and worth it).

4) Deadline is Friday, May 11, 10pm EST

If you have already done a Real Mom Truth then here's what you can do to re-enter it:

1) Make sure it's only ONE Picture and ONE essay

2) Make sure you have the blurb with the links and prize

3) Leave it in the comments and tell me where it was listed on the Real Moms blog (i.e. Real Moms #....). If you create a NEW LINK, make sure you leave it so I can find it.

THE GRAND PRIZE: An amazing 4G iPod/Chocolate Gift Set worth $215. (HELLO!) Plus a link to your post on the very popular new site True Mom Confessions.

The winner will be chosen by our esteemed judges Rebecca and Romi from True Mom Confessions based on the photograph and essay.

So, don't waste any time, do a Real Mom Truth or redo your original one and leave the link and title in the comments of this post!

  • This site honors the experiences of all moms, regardless of race, ethnicity, and culture
